What is IBPSS?
The International Bladder & Prostate Symptom Score (IBPSS) is a communication tool. It is a modern symptom survey that now incorporates the clinical scenarios of leakage and retention. It leverages “futures thinking” to show patients where they are now and where they could end up if the decision is made to not perform appropriate diagnostic testing. It is a linguistic platform to convey the importance of preserving bladder health and preventing late-stage disease for this non-transplantable organ.
